Turquoise Trail Tie Dress

$7,800.00

Rhiannon Griego x Mojave Creek Collaboration

This is an exquisite collaboration of two female artists coming together to birth a vision.

Kris of Mojave Creek, a member of the Mohawks from Kahnawake, beaded the straps in unique symbols to her process. Rust, black, white seed beads on straps and, in front cascading detail. Once these were crested, Rhiannon responded.

The tie dress was woven out of turquoise cotton with rows of hand knotted fringe for play & movement. Pyramid step designs were added for the reminder we are here to elevate our consciousness. Turquoise was utilized to reflection this stone that has functioned as protection, and been found in Hohokam jewelry dating back to 3rd century AD in Southern Arizona.

Truly, a one of a kind object of art.
